Very cool cover, Robert! Looks like a ghost image of Mingus. Kurt did a nice job. I'm looking forward to seeing the book in its entirety.
I see you're listening to Cannonball. He and Phil Woods are my two main men on the alto. I've woodshedded a few of Julian's solos. Man, what a quicksilver technique that man had!
