I'm writing a book! (Actually, two books...)
I am grateful to my wife, friends, an incredible group of literary agents (Wolgemuth and Associates) and Zondervan for encouraging, supporting and believing in me.
I'll be writing about the implications of jazz upon our faith. What does a jazz-shaped faith look like? What can jazz teach us about doing community, reading our Bibles and doing mission in America?
Of course, I''ll be working a lot of the preliminary thoughts out on this blog.
As I state earlier, writing is not a strength of mine but I believe that this is something the Lord is calling me to do.

mcd, so it turns out you *were* planning on writing a book about this?!? Amazing. That's a good thing, because if you couldn't write, would we all be here? I think not. Go, write like a chihuaha on speed, write like a troll on steroids, write like a... well, you get the idea. -lsn

Not surprised in the least. I'll be one of your first readers. Kudos to Zondervan for recognizing a good thing. And big congrats to the Jazz Theologian!

Robert - play your instument! I am very proud of you my friend. Play your instument with inflection, highs, lows, beats, pauses, moods and swings. Play and let's gather the lost to hear and play along.
